"Build a well" fundraiser

Thank you for your devotion to the Refuge of Hope in 2011. We are thankful for your care and support. Your donations have provided a full year of food (3 meals a day), electricity and running water for children with disabilities in Peru. Your donations funded major repairs to classrooms, and to the school's leaky plumbing system, which reduced the cost of electricity by $200 a month.  Your donations also provided school supplies, toiletries and new bunkbeds for our boarding students.  In 2011, we launched an egg-laying hen business and we have continued to grow on our sustainable tree farm. Thank you for buying trees and chickens in honor of your friends and family members!

This holiday season, we are launching a "Build a Well" fundraiser and need $3000 to build a new well and repair the septic system on campus. From Dec 2011-Feb 2012, general donations will be used towards this project in order to provide clean water in 2012.  Please consider making charity gift in honor of a friend or family member for Christmas by clicking here. 100% of your donation goes directly to the Refuge of Hope and is entirely tax-deductible.

Thank You 2011 Volunteers!

Thank you volunteers!  In 2011, we had many volunteers, including students from Lovett High School and Wesleyan High School in Atlanta, GA.  We had two student interns, Ayumi Amano and Michelle Olivier, from Azusa Pacific University in CA who spent the summer serving in Peru.  We are thankful for the braille type writer donated by Michael May at Sendero Group and a weekend of free web design by Ishmael Smyrnow and Raymond Plante at The New England Give Camp in Boston.  Thanks to many donors in Arizona who sponsored Jim Wiltbank's marathon fundraiser. Thank you for large donations from the Hull Foundation, Northeast Presebyterian Church, and Global Impact which have help  to provide food, and build/repair classrooms, farm cabins and the chapel.
